Great Lakes Advanced Scuba Diving Course Deep Diver, Boat Diver and Shipwreck Diver Specialties

Course Prerequisites:  Open Water Scuba with Nitrox and Dive Computer training.  Dry suit certification may be useful, but a high quality two piece 7mm wet suit is very suitable for Michigan summer diving.

The course specialties support advance diving opportunities in Michigan and beyond.  Specialty topics will include deep, boat and wreck diving.

After successful completion of this course, and a total of 24 or more logged dives, you will qualify to apply for the prestigious SSI Advance Open Water Diver Certification card.

Accomplishing the objectives of this course distinguishes you as a “real diver” with the commitment, training and demonstrated skills needed to dive maximum recommended recreational depths and popular Michigan shipwrecks.

Course Requirements:  Class participants will need three SSI specialty manuals. Divers should own their personal scuba diving equipment or make arrangements to rent from Seaquatics.  There may be additional specialty equipment that is recommended as appropriate for use during open water dives.

Classroom: June 23, July 7, 6 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.

Diving: The class will schedule two days of diving plus July 26 & 27, Straits of Mackinaw shipwreck charter diving; eight or more dives total.

Cost: $ 395.  Club Seaquatics member: $ 375

Class fee includes Straits shipwreck charter
